Georgetown Loop RR Trestle

The Georgetown Loop Railroad is a narrow gauge line which runs between Georgetown, Colorado (USA) and the town of Silver Plume, high on the mountain to the west of Georgetown. This former mining (and now tourist) railroad runs a Shay engine and even stops at an old silver mine which can be toured by passengers on the way. The track actually loops over itself using this trestle, known as the Devil's Gate Viaduct, in order to climb the steep grade. The trestle is 300 feet long and almost 100 feet high.
