The Everett-Roosevelt trash train passes thru Mukilteo,WA on its way to the Roosevelt,WA landfill. This one had two Dash-9s for power and 71 well cars with single and double stack trash containers-296 axles, one of the longest loaded trash trains I've seen in a while.
This is the first trash stack train I have seen. I wonder how much trash is taken by train every day?
Here is a link that tells how it is all handled in Snohomish County,WA.

It mentions that this county sends 1500 tons to the landfill at Roosevelt,WA each weekday.Seattle Trash goes to a landfill in Oregon hauled by UP.
