Even in a bad recession,we're still a throwaway society

The Everett-Roosevelt trash train passes thru Mukilteo,WA on its way to the Roosevelt,WA landfill.This one had two Dash-9s for power and 71 well cars with single and double stack trash containers-296 axles,one of the longest loaded trash trains I've seen in a while.

This is the first trash stack train I have seen. I wonder how much trash is taken by train every day?

It mentions that this county sends 1500 tons to the landfill at Roosevelt,WA each weekday.Seattle Trash goes to a landfill in Oregon hauled by UP.
