CP 5000 (GP30)

One of only two such units owned by CP, both off roster in 1998, alongside the 24 strong GP35 fleet. And I though GP38ACs were odd looking

Note the smashed windows & missing bell, action pink paint looks right at home though.

This 5000 Unit I did spot on the CP Minnedosa Subdivision in the
1970's
 
A little more worse for wear then when I saw it on the E&N Railway in the 1990's.
 
Apparently both of CP's GP30s have survived. The February 2003 issue of "Railfan & Railroad" has on page 28 a picture of the 5001 after being shopped. It is shown in blue paint, leased to Scoular Grain in Fremont Nebraska. Maybe someone can verify if 5001 is still there.

Action pink is a deragoratory tem on CP, but that's what she is... Faded red = pink. Most units are wearing action orange though.
