Class leader 2700 compared to a re-built Southern GP30. Interestingly he looks different then BNSF 2863 re-built CBQ GP30 that I caught in California earlier: http://tinyurl.com/BNSF2823 So much GP39-2 diversity, never mind the ATSF version: http://tinyurl.com/BNSF2863

Both engines were working with fellow Burlington Northern units. BNSF 2123-2700 (GP38AC/GP39-2) switching North yard, while BNSF 2768-7037 (GP39-2/SD40-2) rested at the shops. Interestingly 7037 didn't have remote control stickers like 2700 pictured. I caught BNSF 6388-3001 (SD40-2/GP40M) switching industry earlier, to my suprise the 6-axle had the remote control stickers while the Geep was shiny clean wearing H3.

Last note, while hard to see here, 2768 has "North Iowa" on the frame just below "SF".

The only GP30's I have seen over the years was the one's at CP Rail.
