CN at Tolono, Illinois

Having met a northbound at Tolono, Illinois, CN 2676 South rolls on the main through the south siding switch on July 31, 2004.
How in the world do you get that kind of a light?
The light? This was one of those hazy, partly cloudy summer days so common in the Midwest. This train popped into a hazy sunlit spot just at the right time, with a darker, slightly cloudier background helping make the red engine "pop" out of the frame a bit.

Midwest weather is challenging for photography, to say the least.
