This is the cab of DR1000, a Diesel Railcar serving branch lines and non-electrified railroads in Taiwan.

The left lever is the break, and the right one is the accelerator. The speedometer is on the upper left of the front window.

Trains travel on the left side of the tracks. Therefore the engineer sits on the left side.
