Why is BNSF not repainting their old diesel locomotives to the new paint scheme?

Mr. Anderson, from your Dec 2 posting, I note your inquiry whether or not the KCS is a Class I; be it assured it is one of the seven so designated by the "Surf Board" (STB). Aside from the Big Four, the other two are the Grand Trunk Corporation, comprising all of CN's US properties, and the SOO Line Corporation, which is same for the CP.

All seven file annual Form R-1's with the STB; the information within is all public record and are available through the Surf Board's website http://www.stb.dot.gov/stb/industry/econ_reports.html

Thanks for the reply. For those of us who remember reading the names of all those different railroads on passing boxcars in the 1950's, it is hard to believe we are down to just seven class I lines.
