Hello, I was recently rafting in Colorado and was puzzled when all of the rafters on the river stood up and mooned a passing train. I was told this was a tradition. I'm curious where it started and how it evolved. Does anyone know??
I've heard stories about this, but never really known why people do this, I know it is common in California though.
Probably spread from here.
2010 BBC article:
An annual event in southern Californian attracts up to 10,000 people who drop their trousers at passing Amtrak trains.
