tie gang was working north from lake village in the last report. any new updates on this line?
Tie gang has completed about 10 miles on their first pass. We expect this first pass to be done by the end of January. After this is done, we will start tamping and further tie work. We have started clearing the right of way and ditches. Our customers have agreed to hold off shipping until the 20th of January so the gang is getting a 10 hour/day window to work.
Also, the NLA 22 arrived in McGehee last Friday but is not in service yet. The UP derailed it in the yard and damaged the wheels/trucks and I don't have a repair estimate yet.
Lastly, the first full week of January the bids will go out on the reopening of the track from Lake Village to Lake Providence. My personal guess is 30 days to bid, 30 days to award, and 90 days to complete, which would mean June-July until that section is open.

Merry Christmas
