Tomorrow I am going on a little trip to a nearby small town see the UP Big Boy 4014 pass through. I am bringing a radio to listen to the AAR frequencies and another capable of scanning FRED and HOTD frequencies. Does anyone know the radio call sign that Big Boy uses on the radio? Is it just UP4014 or is there a different call sign? Does Big Boy use an HOTD or no? I like to tune the HOTD frequency to give me a few minutes heads-up of when a train is approaching.
