Thought I would share this map I've been working on for a few years now! is a free online Railroad Discussion Forum and Railroad Photo Gallery for railroaders, railfans, model railroaders and anyone else who is interested in railroads. We cover a wide variety of topics, including freight trains, passenger and commuter railroads, rail news and information, tourist railroads, railway museums and railroad history.

Hello everyone!

In 2016, I decided to take the California Zephyr from Emeryville to Reno. Since I was getting into trains at the time, I thought it would be fun to mark out every railroad crossing along the way, plus the bridges and tunnels. Now, 4 years (5 years?) later, I'm still working on that map, with a goal of mapping out every railroad crossing in the US.

Although it's not finished, I thought that the map could help some of you, so I'm releasing it to the public! You can find the map here:

If anyone has any questions or a specific location request, please let me know. I'll be continuing to work on this until it's finished, and I'll make sure to update the website along the way.
