Yesterday, July 31st, 2014, was the last day of the operational life of the SD18´s in Brazil. All them belonged to MRS rr, a broad gauge company that serves Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo states. Their future are uncertain and possibly they will be scrapped.
They were made in USA in 1961 and worked for 53 years.
