I live a mile from the CSX tracks in Sebring. I am used to freights come through and the afternoon Amtraks.
Sebring is the intersection of CSX and the US Sugar railway.
Some mornings around 4-5AM I hear a very slow moving train passing and blowing its horn very frequently. I was thinking it might be US Sugar entering or exiting CSX but others tell me it is just a slow moving CSX train. I find that hard to believe is I can't see any reason CSX would be going that slow on that section of tracks.
Anyone shed any light on what I am hearing?
What speed restrictions are on that track?
Are there any tight curves?
Does Sebring have a speed limit for trains?
No, CSX tracks here are full speed. Out in the middle of Florida.
Is it every train, or just the one?
If it's every train, there may be a slow order.
Only between 4-5AM do I hear it. Otherwise they are doing around 70MPH.
