As I parked in the lot of the Jackson Street Rail House a lady came up to me and said "I am sorry we are closing early because it is too hot". I explained that I drove a long ways to come here and if she did not miond could I please look for a bit?

So she welcomed me in and gave me a tour. We had to turn on some lights and it was a great tour!

She asked me why do these smoke stacks have side holes in them? I of course had no idea and most people would never guess why!

Many years after they closed this roundhouse to trains it became a USPS sorting facility for everyone's mail. Well the USPS cut holes into the stacks so that conveyor belts could be placed along the ceiling area to move mail around this building. She said no one really guesses/knows that is why the holes are there.

Honest it has to do with trains.... twice actually!

Anton, Texas as I was heading east I drove by this train and he then made a left and went across the train tracks.
