Here is a section of the line west of Batterson, Train is moving east. OCSR's GN 274 and ex-POTB 101 are moving towards Batterson to pick up some freight cars that have been sitting there since 2008. The other video I posted was actually filmed after this one, I just posted them in the wrong order. Some motor car guys did a bang up job of clearing the heavier stuff so the train could get through. This is a scenic part of the old SP branch and we look forward to an excursion train here someday. Thanks OCSR!!

Hey Bob,

Thanks for posting these vids. I hadn't thought about shamelessly promoting my youtube videos, but now that you've referenced them.........
I was lucky enough to be in the neighborhood when Scott and Aaron(and a few others) took a ride to pick up cars. I'll see if I can find a picture of the side dump car that was full of dirt and had a tree growing out of it. On the return ride, I rode in the rear facing 274 and Aaron would ask if I could see the tree in the dark and that's how we knew the train was still following the engines. I've had some great rides on the OCSR and POTB.

Rick,

Sure, post away! I can't do videos here on RRF, they take huge amounts of bandwidth. But since YouTube and Vimeo allow you to embed them, it works great!
