never try to beat the train

I saw something like this happen except the person got lucky. I was photographing trains outside fayette yard in Kentucky and we heard the train over the scanner and the HUGE train was coming around a corner about a mile away and the crossing gates came down and this van got stuck between the gates and he just drove beside the tracks and was a foot away from getting hit by the train before driving away.

woow, very lucky driver, most of those trucks caught between the gates are smashed by the trains
