I was recently at an auction and acquired these two pieces. They were with other railroad items (signs, pictures, etc) so I am assuming they are from a train or to do with a train but I have no way of knowing. There are no identifying marks that I could find. All I could guess is that they were old backrests and that the larger one is possibly a mold for a backrest? If anyone knows what they are or if in fact they are to do with a train, please let me know!

Tan piece - 12" x 5" x 5" (Wood/Metal Bottom/Possibly Linoleum on front)

Dark piece - 16" x 16" x 7.5" (All wood)

Thank you again!
