MILW 5057 (currently in Umler as POVA 5057) departed Portola, CA this morning. The 5057 (a GE U25B) is owned by Cascade Rail Foundation in South Cle Elum, WA. It is heading to the Pend Oreille Valley Railroad shop in Usk, WA for cosmetic restoration. Ultimately, the plan is to display it in the former Milwaukee Road rail yard in South Cle Elum.

The 5057 is going to Stockton, CA, then will be interchanged with BNSF for the trip to POVA (interchange at Sandpoint, ID). Cascade Rail Foundation is hoping people can photograph it during the trip.
