So Saturday wasn't supposed to be a day for me to get out and get some photos, but it turned out that way. I originally went up to the Dick's Sporting Goods in north Austin to get a baseball scorebook since I'm covering UT baseball for The Daily Texan this semester. But when I walked out, a northbound container train was rolling by and I couldn't quite resist the urge.
I headed north, eventually stopping at a park in Round Rock. After about ten minutes of waiting, a train finally came by, but to my surprise, it was a UP general freight.
Once that rolled by, I hung around a bit, taking some scenic photos of the park, waiting for the container train to come through. About ten minutes later, it arrived.
Then as I was leaving to get back to campus, yet another general freight came by, but I wasn't able to get photos of that. Quite an interesting 30 minutes indeed.
