Hi
Firstly can someone get this email onto the Derailments and Wrecks forum. Thanks. I cannot locate.

Looking for info and photos on:

Year of accident: late 1950s early 1960s

Railroad: GM&O

Location: GM&O yard in Houston MS.

Loco: Ingalls 4-S diesel #1900

Loco Base: Jackson TN or Iselin Shops TN

Train # GM&O 'Local' out of Jackson TN to Louisville TN. Accident in Houston MS on the way to Louisville MS

Train # possibly #33 (daily train) not confirmed

Type: Loco hit a derail and rolled down an embankment and ended upside down. derail set by previous work train! (incorrectly)

Recovery: Not confirmed but possible a big hook from Meridian or recovery possibly by Iselin Shops (unconfirmed)

Repairs: carried out at Mobile AL

Note: It appears that the accident at the time did not reach the threshold to have a 'Accident Report' issued to authorities. Big changes in accident reporting in that era, including different authorities etc.

My reason to post is to see if anyone can direct me to any information and photos, or Gurus who specialize in wrecks etc around that period and in the midwest. Unfortunately I do not have a more exact date.

I live in New Zealand, a long way from the action! If you are able to advise any contacts that would be great.
