A 4-day-trip to the South Devon coast including the Dartmouth Steam Railway at Paignton featuring GWR 5239 "Goliath", plus HST trains and more at Teignmouth and along the Dawlish Sea Wall in relatively turbulent seas. Next day I moved northeast to Barnetby, spotting 4 DB Schenker class 60 diesels within a short period of time. On Saturday I visited the Great Central Railway "Last Hurrah of the Season" steam gala featuring SR "King Arthur" class 4-6-0 777 “Sir Lamiel”, LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 48624, LMS 2MT 2-6-0 46521, LMS 3F "Jinty" 0-6-0T 47406, BR 2MT 2-6-0 78019 steamers and class 45 D123 diesel on passenger and goods trains. On Sunday morning I concluded the tour at the White Cliffs of Dover with class 395 "Javelin" highspeed EMUs.
