Hello Everyone-
I'm a new member and I'm here because I'm a volunteer in the process of researching a project to be displayed at a local railroad museum. Because I am new to this topic, I am looking for assistance from those more knowledgeable than myself. The project is focused on railroad technology: past and present. Can anybody help me come up with a few aspects about train technology that would be interesting to a general audience? For example, the past few weeks I've been looking in to technologies born of the railroad and still relevant in our everyday life: time zones, light arrays for professional stadiums, the American steel industry. Give me the inspiration and I'll do my best to spread a love of trains to as many people as I can. Thanks in advance.
