My father was an Engineer for the Wabash, later N&W, out of Moberly, MO.

I well remember riding the trains as a child, up until mid-teens. He did the run from Columbia, MO to Centralia MO, and may have been the last Engineer to do so.

Glad to find this forum, and hoping to learn a lot from members.

Welcome to the forum. I lived in Sikeston, MO from 1958-63. The summer of 1959 my family and I rode Union Pacific passenger trains from St. Louis to Portland, OR. The train ran on the tracks of the Wabash between St. Louis and Kansas City.
