This last week I went on vacation and part of it took me along US Hwy 2 in Washington State and we went by the Cascade Tunnel. We looked around the west portal for a bit, then headed towards Everett when we came upon an eastbound empty Ethanol Train so we turned around to go get it at the tunnel. When we arrive the westbound signal just west of the tunnel was yellow, so I knew a train would be coming west out of the tunnel and would meet the eastbound Ethanol Train, so I set up my camera to take some videos.

After about 15 minutes of the tunnel clearing out, then the ethanol train headed east.

Thanks,
Eric

I think that is an empty crude oil train. If I'm not mistaken, the only unit tank trains in the area are the crude oil trains to and from Anacortes. I think ethanol tank cars come in to Seattle on regular manifest trains. You can tell by the HazMat number on the tank cars. Can't read them in the video.
