On a train trip yesterday I experienced a nice parallel running at 140 km/h of my train and another train for about 10 kilometers. I decided to film the event:

It took place on a double track line in Southern Austria. Two intercity-passengers trains (the domestic RJ 533 service from Vienna to Lienz and 3minutes later the international train EC 164 from Graz to Zurich in Switzerland) are scheduled to use that line in the same direction within a few minutes.
My train (the EC 164) was a few minutes early and as the 2nd track was free, they let our train use the the 2nd track.

Best regards from Vienna!
