Amtrak was held up in Colorado because of a rock slide, I think. It was deadheading an Electric Loco and some Amtrak company cars. Left Omaha about 10:25 am. All pictures taken from the corner of 6th and Pacific St. in Omaha.
The electric loco is ACS-64 #670 which is the last ACS-64 of the order from Siemens, built in Sacramento. The special cars are were for Joe Boardman, who rode out there for that last delivery. They did a special event at the California Railroad Museum.
Funny that when that train went through Cali it 3 P42's on point. It has AMTK 165 as the leader. Wonder where they pulled it off? Probably Denver after all the grades.
