I decided not to let the weather slow down my efforts to get out to see trains running. On Tuesday I found out that NS 289 would be coming down the CNO&TP with an Illinois Central SD70 in the famed "Death Star" paint scheme leading. I waited for it at Burgin and got another shot of it and a few other trains at Faulconer before heading home (and to work). Yesterday I went out again, dealing with a similar weather forecast, but with the entire day off from work I could stay out longer. I dealt with a variety of weather, from clouds to sun to downpours, but the trains were running.

Good shots. Thanks for braving the weather for us. Looking at photo #11, is Faulconer, KY a junction?

It is where the CNO&TP "1st District" meets the Louisville District. There is a technically a wye there, as trains can go in either direction when they come off of the Louisville side.
