SD40-2s in Saskatchewan? Thats right. The second unit just happens to be one of thoes old GEC patch jobs to boot! I didn't catch the numbers, but I beleive the second unit is CN 6941.
CP 454 (E/B manifest+IMS, Sutherland-Winnipeg) is by far my favorite train on the CP PNL. Why? It fits my objective criterea:
1. Good timing, daily and always around noon
2. Good consist, lots of cars, a real good junk train - hoppers, gondolas, cente-beams, tankers, boxcars, platforms...
The SOO SD40-2's were always my favorite on the CP roster, as they're owned by CP, but are unlike the GMD SD40-2's at the same time, not to mention they don't look as bad as the wrent-a-wreck SD40-2's, most of whom have left us. CP seems to like these units, as we get about one everyday. Maybe...
