    Southern Pacific SD9E #5399, owned by George Lavacott (LLW) and leased by the Portland & Western, leads a Brooklyn Hauler west through downtown Lake Oswego. The locomotive was recently repainted back to its as-delivered paint scheme and renumbered from 4364 back to 5399. Ain't she pretty!?!

    UP #4843 leads the Z-PDCS (Expedited Trailers - Portland, Ore. to Canal St. [Chicago, IL]) just west of Arlington, Ore. Power was the UP #4843 and 3 other SD70M's for power.. After leaving CP Biggs Jct., 4843 was running about 70-ish mph. At Arlington, we were finally ahead of this train.
