In 1919, plans were released for the new Niles Yards on the east side of Niles, MI, including a thirty stall roundhouse and a 100' turntable, the huge diesel shop which is still there along with the ice house, 75 miles of track down to maybe 2 miles now. From 1920 - 1960.
