    Happy 4th 🇺🇸 In a somewhat rare move today, Niles Canyon Railway ran east of Sunol to the Happy Valley Road over crossing (east end of trackage). Caught it crossing under the UP at Verona and returning at Hearst Junction. The train then ran without stopping at Sunol to Niles and back.

The siding along the former SP right of way just out of frame to the right is often used to store empty TTX well...

    Roseville to Warm Springs Manifest (MRVWS)

    Looking more like the photo was taken in Oregon or Washington states, the daily MRVWS on the UP Martinez Sub accelerates in Run-8 through Rodeo (pronounced ROW-DAY-OH), California on a gloomy overcast day. This photo was taken from an overpass which conveniently had a hole in the chainlink fence.
