CNs first GP38-2 is in good company: trailing a GP40-2LW (currently oldest on CNs roster) followed by a GP9RM predecessor. As you can see with each generation the cab gets bigger LOL. Sadly the GP40-2LWs were the last new Geeps on CNs roster.

This unit started its life as a GP9 in 1955, originally CN 2021, re-numbered 4472 in 1956, then re-build to GP9RM in 1992, becoming CN 7059. This year after 57 years on CN he was retired and sold to VIRX. Unless he's going to a shortline, chances are that this is the last time he's seeing CN...
GP9 #302 (in front, not visible in this pic.) & GP7 #301 get ready to head back to Anaconda with the Copper King Express. Notice how #301 has the top-mounted "torpedo tubes".
DM&IR SD-M 301, one of 5 remaining SD-Ms in service, sits at Homewood waiting for its next assignment. Quite nice to see this DM&IR with its paint in almost perfect condition in Illinois.
