    The effect was done by using a long shutter speed then popping a flash as the train went by to "freeze" the reflectors on the side of the train.

    Yes, taken from on the bridge. The trucks rumbling by made me a little nervous, but the shot was worth it.

    Actually - it's a polarizer that gave a nice blue sky. Hardly any editing done.
