    Reroute Passenger Train

Amtrak's rerouted Southwest Chief heads up the slight grade at CP West Amarillo. The reason for the reroute is a large wildfire on the trains normal route across Raton Pass in New Mexico. Over the 4 days of the reroute, numerous Private Varnish cars tagged along for the rare mileage.
