Washington Park & Zoo #1

Washington Park & Zoo Railway's #1 is all lit up for the Zoolights celebration.

The WP&Z Ry is located in Portland, OR and the #1 is a 30" gauge 4-4-0 patterned after the Reno on the V&T.

#1 is a real steam locomotive, and she works hard pulling passengers around the zoo. The zoo put on a spectacular display of lights each year, and the train ride provides a wonderful way to see the zoo. Some of the light displays can only bee seen from the train, such as a long line of animated leaf cutter ants.
