U.K. Brittania Class Pacific No.70049

A rather ancient 'schoolboy photo' of mine of Pacific 70049 taken around 1960 in North Wales at Penmaenmawr Station. This is on the Crewe to Holyhead Main Line. The loco was in beautiful condition and was used on Express trains including the famous "Irish Mail". I am doing a Painting of this locomotive!
The actual livery was 'brunswick green' lined out in orange & black. Number in 'straw yellow' edged in black. (Later smoke-deflector nameplate was red background with brass letters).Very mixed reaction to these locos in the U.K., but they did good work, especially on the ex,Midland main line from London to Manchester.
