Tying Down For The Night

After a long day a tired crewman from the Longmont local calls it a day after tying down the power in front of the Longmont depot.

Canon EOS 5D
Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-4 @ 17mm
ISO 200, f/8, 1/800s
My first mpression was that the crew man kills the photo, but thinking again it gives another perspective to the composition.
Well done!

That guy is really giving you a long hard look. If they're had a long day they must have started before the sun came up because from the shadows in this pic it looks like the middle of the afternoon. Nice pic.

Thanks all....Curious, actually the crewman was quite friendly, though tired and ready to go home and get some rest. He had just finished setting the handbrake on the 8635 and looked up just as I pressed the shutter button.

I'm not sure what time the local crew goes on duty, but I believe they first head south out of Longmont to switch the Boulder, Louisville, and Broomfield areas. They return to Longmont and do some switching in the yard. Then north to Loveland (and maybe Ft. Collins?) to grab cars from the Great Western RR.

Lately they've been arriving back in Longmont in the early afternoon, handing everything they've gathered to the Longmont Turn, and tying down.

Anyone feel free to correct me if the above is incorrect.
