Tracks on Tracks

Caught these "tracked" vehicles on 6-wheel truck Dept. of Defense flatcars. A string of these flatcars were in Galesburg, IL in June 2002 during Railroad Days. This shot was taken from the Therwell Street bridge.

It appears from the rear of this vehicles that they may be some type rocket launcher or possibly "patriot" missle launchers. I noticed the round ends that appear to be some kind of missle launch pad.

If someone knows better what they are feel free to educate me.
