The classic Woodford shot.

Here is my favorite train watching spot. It is milepost 349 on the Tehachapi line at Woodford (Keene). It is two miles below the loop which is at milepost 351 to 352. It is one of the busiest siding on the Tehachapi line probably because of its length.

The view in both directions from this little hill make very good photographs, and being on the south side of the east-west tracks makes it all the better. To the west is this shot and to the east is a view of the Loop.

This is the classic Woodford shot. Many pictures have been taken here down through the years. Steam, early diesels up to today's modern diesels. If you have the 2003 Tehachapi calendar, there is a good example showing an ABBA set of Santa Fe F7's at this spot taken back in the fiftys.

Here a BNSF intermodal is coming up grade (southbound) on the main on a stormy Saturday afternoon in May. The track to the right is the siding and the track on the left is a stub siding.

Daylight (Southern Pacific fan forever)
The light isn't real good in this shot and it is crooked. That can be fixed in your photo editor or by using a tripod.
