The SLROT of Sept. 4, 1990 gets to cool his heels for a bit at Pando siding after dropping down the 3.5% from Tennessee pass.
One of the best for a long time, color, composition, history, subject matter.
Just that darn pole takes the edge off of it. Hence the 9 and not a 10.

I wouldn't have even noticed the pole had not Steve pointed it out. Nice colors!
Almost heaven, Colorado! Rio Grande and autumn aspens - wonderful combination. Thanks for sharing your image from Tennessee Pass - resting silently (rail banked - out of service) in 2008.
