These two-bay open hoppers were built by Greenville Steel Car Co. in 1978. They could hold about 2300 cu. feet. There are still quite a few SP hoppers around the San Francisco Penninsula area that are used for hauling gravel. This one is in Redwood City, CA, bringing gravel to a cement company.
