I sat for 3 hours along the UP Greeley Sub at
Carr, CO looking at empty tracks. 4:00 PM arrived,
the sun was getting low and behind some
medium cloud cover, rendering the light pretty soft.
I was ready to pack it in and head home when
my ATCS Monitor indicated the dispatched had
just cleared a northbound. I thought "what the
heck", I've wasted enough time here, might as
well get some shot rather than being skunked.
So I stuck around and caught UP 7682 leading
this northbound manifest across Lonetree
Creek on the north side of Carr, CO. Not my
best shot from this spot, but it turned out
better than I expected.
