Snowy Rock Train

Here the daily "Rock Train" is coming off the wye at Kenosha, WI to begin its trip west towards Bain and the the Union Pacific (former CNW) tracks. This was the day after Thanksgiving in Kenosha and the snow was unexpected, but a nice addition to the scene. Behind the train is the Kenosha Metra station. The farthest north Metra comes for now.

Nice shot, KSchmidt. I live about 2 blocks North of the depot, and see this train all the time!!! Wish the SP GP60 had been in the lead for this shot!!! Are you from Kenosha?

Thanks Glen, Actually I am from Kenosha's northern suburb of Milwaukee. But I try and get down that way as much as possible.

I live in K-town too! Look for me on a bike with a Fedora "mafia" hat on!
