Its only four days to go until the end of 2009 and also the end of rail service on the barge slip at the Port of Vancouver, as Southern Railway of BC leads the northbound switcher over the Burrard Inlet Line on December 27, 2009, in Vancouver, BC.

Before SRY, BNSF and predecessor Great Northern ran operations to the slip for the past 100 years.
Wow, there is just less and less rail operations in downtown Vancouver isn't there? I assume this business was moved to the new barge slip on Annacis Island?
 
Yes that is indeed correct. It was originally going to be a year after SRY took over, but was bumped up earlier, as security around the Port was changed for the 2010 Games.
