CSX passes under a ped. bridge at The University of Akron
D
I used to live in downtown Akron, OH. Actually at the Mayflower apts. before they became the slumland they are now. Almost every night I would walk down the drive in the upper right-hand of the picture. Then cross onto the old Amtrak platform, in the middle of the picture. You could stand in the middle of the steel I-beams with no problem and wait for the approaching trains. And when the came rip-roaring past you at 1-2 ft. OHHHHH MAN OOOOOOOO THE POWER. :p
And yes it does sting quite a bit if you put your hand out to touch the passing cars @ 30mph.
edit: Any chance you can get / got more pictures of this area ?
