Santa Fe's Warbonnet Scheme: Pink, But Not Red...

Today on the Longmont Local, BNSF 3123, an ex BN GP50, was replaced by an ex ATSF B40-8W, (554). The unit is seen approaching Longmont, Colorado, with BNSF 104 and about 10 cars in tow from Fort Collins and Loveland, just after 6:00pm. BNSF 554 could really visit the Paint Shop at CEECo in Tacoma, Washington or The Mid-America Paint Shop in Kansas. But it's still nice to see the warbonnet scheme alive in the 21st Century.
man I hate it when the clear coat starts to come off!
