Here a pair of geeps haul a rock train from West San Antonio thru the middle of town in the shadow of the I&GN depot, 12/18/03. Trailing unit is an Atlas undecorated model, presumably to avoid the UP licensing fee.
Nice shot, The trailing unit in the consist of the rock train is a GCFX lease unit rebuilt by Alstom & both of these units are SD40-2 models & not geeps/GP models, with the trailing unit GCFX 3073 rebuilt to an SD40-3. A geep/GP is a 4 axle unit & SD is a 6 axle unit. GP standing for general purpose & SD standing for special duty.
