Plaque on an Old SP Derailer

  • Media owner boin106

This is the plaque on an old Southern Pacific derailer. It is a Hayes Model HB, size 6 derailer. It is one of two derailer switches that are the only remnants of the Southern Pacific Crocker Industrial rail spur that serviced about 15 warehouses along its route. All of the five miles of track has been torn up... all that survives are pieces of track with the two derailers, partially buried in the dirt.
