These people came running from all over the park, as soon as they heard this train comming,proving all kinds of people love trains. In light of this truth, Why are we questioned and ridiculed for photographing trains?

do i see a CP SD40-2 in that lashup great shot great perspective and i se this a few times out here people sometimes pulled over on the highway simply watching a train

Ridiculed for being a railfan is right - many of my friends think I am nuts because I will sit for hours waiting for the next train only to take photos of it - Maybe I am nuts but it keeps me from being completely bored with life

The children of those parents standing on that bridge walk are some of the luckiest children in the world because many children never have the opportunity to experience the event of growing up in the real world

BTW this is how got started. In Kiev where I'm from, there's a suburban train station with an overhead pathway just like that, going over something like 20 tracks, with commuter, long-distance passenger and freight throughout the day, more then 50 trains per day for sure.
